BCY describes in-place material, LCY reflects swell after excavation, and CCY describes compacted fill. Required bank fill is compacted fill divided by one minus shrink.
Compare reusable cut BCY with required fill BCY. Reusable Supply Balanced can still include export when part of the cut is non-reusable.
Know what representative depths can show
Elevation points are equal-area representative samples. Cut and fill depths are averaged separately over all points, so mixed positive and negative depths are not simply netted to zero.
A complete civil takeoff requires review of grading plans and details. This tool does not model surfaces, interpolate contours, automate topsoil stripping or calculate hauling productivity.
